Why does Fox News post irresponsible stories like "The Greenhouse Myth"?

T Steven Milloy makes the absurd claim that "The notion that our atmosphere acts like a greenhouse ? that is, so-called atmospheric ?greenhouse gases,? like water vapor and CO2, ?trap? incoming solar radiation to warm the atmosphere ? is wrong. Not only doesn?t the atmosphere work that way, greenhouses don?t either." That is just plain wrong. Why would Fox News publish something like that? It is blatantly wrong. Greenhouses work exactly that way. Milloy goes on to claim that the only way greenhouses retain heat is by preventing convection. While it is true that convection is important, radiation is just as important. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_greenhouse_%28technical%29 The article is a blatant lie, but my question is why? Does Milloy think his conservative readers are so stupid that they will not recognize how absurd his claims are? Is he right?

green house construction?
ok since we moved into this house 7 years ago my mom has been promised a greenhouse from my dad and over the years he has forgotten and my mom wants 1 more than ever so im gonna build her 1. the construction im using is simple ill use 2x4s (its going to be 6x8 feet) every 2 feet ill drop a 2x4 in place they will be burried 18- 24 inches deep depending if the spot i am using has soil or clay(i live in texas) on the walla i plan to use this sticky stuff from the home depot they are sold in rolls of 24 inchesx 100 feet its made of plastic it will not just stick i will use staples from a staple gun i will do this to the incide and outside so theres a wall of warmth bieng trapped inside incase of a cloudy day (also going to be a solar greenhouse)will this greenhouse support plant life here in texas its 10 degrees to 107 degrees
