homemade greenhouse?
I bought those little pellets of dirt that puff up when you put water on them to grow my herb garden. It came with a little plastic covered greenhouse and I can see in the afternoon that it is really hot in there...the dirt is actually hot to the touch. My questions are: 1. Can it get too hot? They haven't sprouted yet but it's only been just over a week. 2: Can I put something like saran wrap over my other herbs in pots for the next week or two to act like a little greenhouse or will it not work the same? Thanks.

What is the best way to keep seedlings in a mini greenhouse watered and healthy when I go on holiday.?
I have a lot of seedlings growing from tomato plants to lettuce and peppers. I don't want them to dehydrate while I am away for 2 weeks and would appreciate any advice or tried and tested tips. I have 2 small plastic covered greenhouse type things. I can move them to a shadier place in the garden to avoid too much direct sunlight, but what is the best way to ensure they have enough water? Also, as the language is called 'English' it's up to you guys to get it right!!! As I live in Scotland not England when we go away for 2 weeks it's called a holiday. I am aware of vacation time being shorter in USA and Canada, but surely have a go at your government, not me!!! I wanted help with my gardening issues, not someone who moans about their lack of annual holiday leave!!!! My whole point was about a gardening issue. If you wanted to have a go about my use of the English language good for you. I am not riled about you trying to correct me and you looking silly, I am more annoyed at the waste of an answer when I was only looking for a bit of help. Thanks anyway, oh, and do you have and idea about the gardeing question after all?
