Has anyone ever built there own hobby greenhouse?
What is the best plan? Can old windows be used? Any other advice would be helpful.

Greenhouse heating problem...?
I have a small hobby greenhouse that I can only use when the temperatures are above freezing. I am looking for ideas on how I can increase night temps (day temps are fine...even when it is below zero outside) with out using conventional methods. I do not have access to electricity and gas/ fuel is out of the question... Is there something I can build (preferably..) that I can use to store heat during the day and release it a night? Any help is GREATLY appreciated. The green house is two layers of 6mm polyfilm, and measures 7ftw x 8ftl x 7ft hi Thanks! Just a little more info..it is not uncommon for the day temp to reach in the upper 90's on a sunny day in the middle of a -20 winter day...even warmer if the outside temp is warmer.....

What type of Greenhouse for Zone 5?
What type of Hobby Greenhouse for Zone 5? I would like to either buy or have built (by a family member) a 6' x 8' hobby greenhouse that could be heated year round. Or, maybe it doesn't need to be heated year round. I am totally new at this. I mostly want it to grow flowers from seed. (Like geraniums have to be started early.) Lexan panels made this size greenhouse kind of expensive. I think that just for the materials, Lexan and the new kind of treated lumber, the materials cost was around $1,700. (It's expensive to have Lexan shipped.Lexan is the expensive part.) The purchased kits seem to only have 4 mm polycarbonate. Or, would using a greenhouse with film be a better way to go? (Where can you buy the double greenhouse film that you can pump air between for better insulation?) What is the best way to get a quality small greenhouse that is heating efficient? Or, if you have a purchased greenhouse kit you recommend, please specify why you like it and the brand. Thanks.
