Shelving and floor ideas for new greenhouse? ?
I am getting my girlfriend a nice 6x10 Greenline greenhouse for Christmas. It should take the better part of a weekend to assemble, and once we get everything up I would like to know what kind of shelving might work best for the space? I am pretty handy with tools and considered building her some double shelf tables with wire-mesh shelving so that it is light and sturdy, but also so that the water can drain down to the ground. I asked in another question, the best type of flooring to use. I am considering getting medium sized gravel for the ground, and then laying some treated wood down in the middle length-wise to walk on, with the gravel off to either side. Is this a good idea, or should we consider something else? I picked her up a greenhouse book which talks about growing in your greenhouse, but couldn't find anything in there about shelving or storage of plants in the greenhouse. Ideas? For shelving, I was thinking something such as this.... http://www.growerssupply.com/farm/supplies/prod1;gs1_greenhouse_shelving_benching;pg108289.html But if lack of sunlight to the bottom shelf was the case, I could do something such as this... http://www.growerssupply.com/farm/supplies/prod1;gs1_greenhouse_shelving_benching;pg108292.html
