Diy Greenhouse

Need advice on a DIY greenhouse?
I want to build a greenhouse approx. 10ftx12ft. Don't really want to by a kit. What's best for framing and cover? plastic,glass, fiberglass??

Can I nail polycarbonate without messing it up? I am planning to use it on a small DIY greenhouse?
I am thinking that if I pound nails in it, it might crack up around the holes? Also, how do you cut it to get it to the right size? Assuming it is 1/8 of an inch thick, it probably needs some kind of a saw? I was originally planning to use 6mm polyurethane sheeting but I thought polycarbonate might be stronger and more transparent (and look nicer). Maybe I should just do the polyurethane sheeting instead?
Any insight into handling polycarbonate in a project like this would be great.
Also, any insight into polycarbonate vs polyurethane sheeting for a DIY greenhouse would be great too.
